Team chat, not another app
from the Yes Foreman platform
Channels for the crew, DMs for the awkward stuff — so client emails and van banter don't end up in the same thread.

Team chat, not another app in Foreman: how it works
Crew updates buried in personal text threads get lost, and so do the photos. Foreman has team chat built in, with channels for crews and departments and direct messages for one-to-one conversations, in the same app the crew already uses for their jobs.
Step 1
Start with the defaults
Every workspace starts with #general and #announcements. Chats belong to that workspace and never show up in another.
Step 2
Make channels for crews
Channels are invite-only, so you can keep one private to a crew or department. Invited field staff see them in the mobile app too.
Step 3
Message one person
Start a direct message with anyone on the team and see whether they're online, with typing indicators and seen ticks.
Step 4
Share photos and files
Attach photos or files up to 15 MB, including PDF, Word, Excel and CSV. Tap a photo to see it full size.
Team chat, not another app: common questions
Do field staff need a separate app for chat?
No. Chat is part of the Foreman mobile app the crew already uses for jobs and clock-ins.
Can someone delete my message?
No. Only you can delete your own messages.
What if a message fails to send?
You'll see an error and your text and attachment go back in the box so you can try again.
