Client self-serve portal in Foreman: how it works

Half the calls to a service business are clients asking where their quote is or how much they owe. Foreman gives each client a private portal link, so they can check their quotes and invoices, confirm an appointment or ask for new work without ringing you.

  1. Step 1

    Share the portal link

Open the client and select Portal to copy their private link, then send it through your usual channel.

  2. Step 2

    Clients review quotes

Sent quotes waiting for a decision show up front. The client opens Review quote to see it and use the approval actions.

  3. Step 3

    Clients see what they owe

View invoice shows the remaining balance on sent and overdue invoices, and offers online payment when your payment setup supports it.

  4. Step 4

    Clients request work

Tell us what you need lets the client describe a job and a preferred date. It arrives as an enquiry for you to schedule; a preferred date isn't a confirmed booking.

Client self-serve portal: common questions

Can clients see draft quotes?

No. Drafts, superseded quotes and void invoices are never listed; the portal only shows issued documents.

Does opening the portal charge the client?

No. Payment only happens if the client chooses to pay an invoice online.

Who can see a client's portal?

Anyone with that client's private link, and documents are restricted to that contact and their organisation. Share it only with the client.
