Roles & permissions
from the Yes Foreman platform
New apprentice sees the jobs board. Not the bank balance. Set who sees what, once.

Roles & permissions in Foreman: how it works
An apprentice needs the day's jobs, not the bank balance. Foreman gives every person a role that decides what they can see and do, and shows you in plain words exactly what you're granting before you send the invite.
Step 1
Pick a role when you invite
Choose Field crew, Office, Admin or one of your custom roles. What they'll be able to do lists their access in plain words, split into the mobile app and the web app.
Step 2
Keep field crew on the phone
Field crew use the mobile app only: Today, Jobs, Clock, Inbox and Me. If they sign in on the web, they're pointed back to the app.
Step 3
Protect sensitive details
Without HR access, staff see coworkers as a directory, never pay rates, addresses, emergency contacts, leave balances or anyone else's timesheets.
Step 4
Change it any time
Admins and owners can change a member's role, set their timezone, revoke invites and remove access immediately from Users & permissions.
Roles & permissions: common questions
Do I pay per user?
No. Every plan includes unlimited members, so adding a role for a new apprentice doesn't add a seat.
Can I create my own roles?
Yes. Custom roles appear alongside the standard ones in the role list and invite form, and can include specific resources such as Forms.
Is there a record of who changed what?
Admins, owners and super admins can open the audit log from the Audit tab in Users & permissions.
