Reports that mean something in Foreman: how it works

A report is only useful if you know where the number came from. Foreman's reports cover the questions a service business actually asks, such as what came in, what's owed, what we won and how the crew's hours went, and every card explains how it's calculated.

  1. Step 1

Pick a report and a period

Choose Money, Getting paid, Winning work, Getting work done, Crew and hours, or Work coming in, over the last 30, 90, 180 or 365 days.

  2. Step 2

    Read the definitions

Open How this is calculated on any card. Period cards follow the window you picked; current snapshot cards, like money owed today, deliberately don't.

  3. Step 3

    Ask your own question

Use Build a report or Ask a question to put together a custom dashboard, alongside the standard reports.

  4. Step 4

    Follow up where it matters

Overdue jobs, unsent quotes and aged invoices point you at the work to chase next, not just the totals.

Reports that mean something: common questions

How is revenue counted?

Revenue received counts each settled invoice once, at its first recorded paid date, including tax. Drafts and void invoices are excluded.

How is quote win rate worked out?

From decided quotes only: accepted or converted count as won, declined or expired as not won. Pending quotes are left out.

Can I see labour cost?

The Crew and hours report shows headcount, completed attendance hours and estimated wage cost for the period.
