Products & services in Foreman: how it works
A price list in someone's head gives you a different price every time. Foreman keeps your services and materials in one price book that quotes, invoices and the AI quote writer all draw from, so the numbers are consistent whoever builds the quote.
Step 1
Add services and materials
Services are labour, with a unit, cost price and charge price. Materials are products with the same. The page shows your service and material counts and average margin.
Step 2
Give services a time norm
Set default hours or hours per unit, for example 0.3 hours per square metre. The AI quote writer prices labour from these instead of guessing.
Step 3
Import what you already have
Import a CSV (columns are matched by name, so Excel, Xero and ServiceM8 exports work) or pull items from your connected Xero price book.
Step 4
Let real hours correct it
Labour insights compare your time norms with hours actually clocked on jobs, and suggest a new default when work consistently runs longer or shorter.

Can I update prices in bulk?
Yes. Import a CSV and tick the option to update prices on existing items with the same name instead of skipping them.
Does it show my margin?
Each item shows its charge and cost price, and the page shows your average margin across the price list.
